International cooperation is fundamental to an organisation whose origins were built upon communication and knowledge exchange across national boundaries.
International cooperation is fundamental to an organisation whose origins were built upon communication and knowledge exchange across national boundaries.
ISVG provides a network through which Country ISVG organisations, members, volunteers and knowledge contributors can communicate, exchange experience and explore activities of mutual interest. Regional and global structures can further facilitate cooperation where initiatives involve several countries.
ISVG also seeks constructive relationships with organisations whose purposes complement its own, including Scout organisations, educational and research institutions, professional bodies, civil society organisations, community organisations, development partners and other relevant institutions.
Such cooperation may support knowledge exchange, learning, volunteering, community initiatives, research, professional engagement, cultural understanding and institutional development.
Partnership does not require organisations to have identical mandates. ISVG seeks cooperation where different institutions can contribute their respective strengths while maintaining their own identity, governance and independence.
Through international cooperation, ISVG aims to make its global presence a working network for exchanging knowledge and creating social value, rather than simply a geographical representation.
